I am a documentary photographer and Associate Professor of philosophy at Columbia University in New York. My current project is a book of photographs of the Mimbres River Valley, New Mexico. Some images from this series were exhibited at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles, as part of the program Women in a Man's World: Filming the Modern Cowboy.
I work with a medium format film camera, and print digitally from high-quality film scans. My work focuses on recording the inhabited rural landscape.
Originally from Los Angeles, I now live in New York. I received my BA from Stanford University (2002) and my PhD from UC Berkeley (2012).
